  • Chemical analysis

Welding Engineering

Our engineering department works closely with customers from various fields of specialization such as the design of welded steel and aluminum joints, design verification, welding design and symbols, development of new welding processes, solving welding related problem solving, development and drafting of welding procedures (including equipment, qualification with relevant authorities, and turnkey destructive testing), and lastly, research and development projects in the field of welding metallurgy.

Welding Procedures

Development and drafting of welding procedures (WPDS and WPS) and other procedures (PQR and WPS) in accordance with the applicable codes and standards (Canadian, US, and international).

Certification Follow-Up

We provide technical and engineering support to companies through Division 2 visits in accordance with CSA W47.1 and W47.2. All documents are approved by our CWB-qualified welding engineer in order to maintain certification records of the companies using our services in compliance with the requirements at all times.

Certificate of compliance

Sealed document issued by our engineers and attesting the compliance of a product or lifting equipment with the applicable standards.

Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing

The ultrasonic phased array testing method is an advanced non-destructive testing method used in the industrial field. Single-element probes, called monolithic transducers, emit a beam in a fixed direction. To test a high-volume material, a conventional probe must be physically moved or rotated to scan the beam throughout the area of interest.

Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasounds are mechanical waves generated from a piezoelectric element excited at a frequency comprised, for many applications, between 2 and 5 MHz. This element is often fixed to a plastic sole on one side and to a shock absorber on the other side, constituting together what is called the transducer.
